The Southern Maryland Minority Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (SMMCOC) will host The Southern Maryland Energy and Procurement Expo, “Exploring the Future of the Energy Sector” on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 , at 8:00am to 3:00pm in the Business and Industry Building, at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus.

A Perspective of Energy in the State of Maryland – Energy leaders will discuss grants, rebates and financing options for Maryland businesses.
Energy Economic Development/Procurement Opportunities – Energy leaders will discuss economic development and procurement opportunities specific to Southern MD. Discussion will emphasize opportunities for small, minority and women-owned businesses.
The Utilities Perspective – Utility executives will discuss current projects in the pipeline and status, projects and energy growth on the horizon, energy trends, and workforce needs.
Exhibitor Expo – An opportunity to visit leaders of Energy Service Companies, Utilities, Suppliers, Associations, and Government officials to discuss energy sector opportunities.
